IDEA (Improvement and Development Agency for Local Government)

 This is a national organisation which aims to support Local Authorites improvement processes. It has a lot of useful information about the LAA and LSPs for officers and councillors which anyone can access. Use the following link:

CLG (Communities and Local Government)

CLG sets policies on Local Government. Housing, urban regeneration, planning and fire and rescue. It has a good site to search for new policies, strategies, consultations and white papers. It also has guidance on a range of local government processes, including LAAs. Use the following link:

GOEM (Government Office East Midlands)

 GOEM has been responsible for negotiating Derbyshire's LAA on behalf of Central Government.This website has some useful documents relating to Derbyshire and it's involvement with the first round of Local Area Agreements. Use the following link:
