History

Established in 2004 in response to the Change Up agenda, 3D has achieved a great deal since its inception. 28 projects have been successfully delivered covering a wide array of topics, including:

  • Income generation
  • HR
  • Contracting
  • Volunteering
  • BME Infrastructure provision
  • ICT
  • Compact
  • Change management
  • Asset management
  • Good practice
  • Training
  • Capacity Building
  • Relationship building
  • Quality Standards
  • Funding Advice
  • Governance

Many of these projects have been delivered by a group of infrastructure agencies working in partnership. Almost all achieved or exceeded their targets. A further two projects covering volunteering and relationship building with the Derbyshire PCT, have recently secured funding.

An ongoing, core piece of 3D activity is to work with partners to help shape the Local Area Agreements (LAAs) in Derby and Derbyshire. This work has centred around providing VCS representatives to take part in all levels of the Derbyshire LAA. Derbyshire County Council has provided funding to facilitate this process.

3D provides support for third sector voluntary & community organisations in Derbyshire.

It achieves this as a partnership of Derbyshire support organisations, working together to develop the infrastructure of the voluntary and community sector.
