Links Chesterfield & NE Derbyshire CVS & Action Ltd

Links is a CVS supporting voluntary & community groups in Chesterfield & N.E. Derbyshire. We also run a BME Engagement project covering Derbyshire, a Funding Advice Service covering Chesterfield, North East Derbyshire and Bolsover, and a Contracts Advice Service covering Derbyshire.

Links has as its basic value a belief in the need for positive action to support equal opportunities and therefore gives priority to work with groups experiencing discrimination and disadvantage, including economic disadvantage. It has developed specialisms in work with BME groups and supports race equality forums across the county, commissioned by Derbyshire County Council.

Types of Services:

  • Initial advice to groups operating in Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire
  • Funding Advice to groups operating in Chesterfield, North East Derbyshire & Bolsover in partnership with CVP - includes training in financial management in partnership with Derby Community Accountancy Service.
  • Derbyshire County Council BME engagement project
  • Derbyshire CAN Contracts Advice Network – support on all aspects of tendering to groups operating across Derbyshire
  • Links Organisational Training and Support (LOTS) – social enterprise approach offering training, consultancy, evaluation, mentoring etc for fees
